BRASS ROOTS is a rock and rhythm-based band with saxophone, trombone and trumpet. The band originated in Long Valley, New Jersey and performs a wide variety of musical genres from rock to funk to soul to R&B to country – for people of all ages who love hearing live music!
Brass Roots is unique with a brass section that enables the band to play a wide spectrum of music that everyone enjoy. The music ranges from 25 or 6 to 4, to Uptown Funk, Soul Man or Moondance, Take on Me, Black Magic Woman, Can’t Stop the Feeling, Build Me Up Buttercup, Sweet Home Alabama, Valerie, and so much more!

Brass Roots has played at music festivals and various Food Truck events in Morris, Warren, and Sussex County and at restaurants such as Jersey Girl Brewing Company, Mattar’s Bistro, Taphouse Bar & Grill, The Nook, Lakeside Sports Bar & Grill, Sheridan’s Andover, The Publick House, Bea McNalley’s, The Lamplighter, as well as the historic Rutherfurd Hall, Four Sister’s Winery, Late Thursday Night in Hackettstown, Maifest in Hackettstown, the Spring Fair and International Festival in Hackettstown, Long Valley’s Night Out in addition to NJ truck festivals, private parties and events.
The band was formed eight years ago by the founders of Long Valley Music, and since the pandemic it has been expanding its repertoire into various different musical forays ever since.
